Global Mortuary Services

At Global Mortuary we emphasize the fact that we can assist you no matter where you live. One call to our offices and we can help answer your questions and address your concerns....there is no obligation! We are particularly proud of the fact that a major portion of our business is from referrals. This speaks for itself as far as customer satisfaction.

All funeral and cremation providers provide similar products, however it is the level of personal service that varies from firm to firm. This is so important. We strive to provide the best service to our families to help them through a sad and emotional time. It is our policy to strive to make a difficult time less traumatic and do what we can to lift some of the burden. In this regard we try to listen and provide the products and/or services requested.

When we are called upon for shipment from the USA to other countries, we take care of all documentation including death certificates, permits, and consulate authorizations.

What do we do?
That first call we receive activates many services that many people are not aware of. We may contact the hospital, nursing home, or medical examiner's office, as appropriate to find out if it is time for us to dispatch the proper personnel and vehicle to bring the deceased to our facility. We verify the time and date of demise, and obtain a doctor's signature and contact details so we can issue the required permit and other documents that will be needed to comply with the wishes of the family.

Cremation or Burial
If cremation is requested we must get the medical examiners approval and approval from the appropriate family members. There is always a time delay, which varies from region to region before a cremation can take place. The purpose of the delay is to allow the medical examiner time to question the cause of demise or possibly to require an autopsy. Then of course if all documents are signed we must schedule the final disposition.

If a burial is requested we contact the cemetery to confirm the date and time of services, secure the vault and and valididate the lot and opening and closing of the grave. The family would be in touch with the cemetery also to pay any fees due the cemetery and/or to sign the required documents before the day of services. We also arrange for clergy as necessary, and schedule the transport of the casket to the gravesite.

If a shipping is requested we arrange for the flights to take the casket or combo shipping unit to its destination and notify the receiving funeral home.

Global Mortuary will assist the families with a variety of details:

  • We arrange for the obituary that the family may want in various newspapers, and publish obituaries online.
  • We automatically notify social securty of the death, which starts a claim for any benefits due.
  • We apply for any VA benefits that we can for our veterans.
  • In cases where the customer is not in our immediate area, we can secure forms and authorizations.
